Avanti Homecare 2025 Wrapped

Avanti Homecare 2025 Wrapped

As we come to the end of the year, we want to take a moment to pause and reflect. 2025 has been a meaningful year for Avanti Homecare. A year of growth, learning, and connection, shaped by the people we support and the teams who support them.

This is our chance to look back on the moments that mattered, the progress we made together and the foundations we have laid for the year ahead.

Welcoming new faces to the Avanti family

One of the biggest highlights of 2025 has been the growth of our team. Each new role was created or expanded with a clear purpose, to strengthen care quality, support our carers and improve the experience for clients and families.

This year, we welcomed:

  • Leonie, Senior Care Coordinator for Ripley
To strengthen rota planning, coordination, and communication with health professionals, ensuring carers have the time and support needed to deliver great care.
  • Gemma, People and Development Manager
To lead staff wellbeing, learning and development, and to support career progression across Avanti.
  • Our People and Development Officer
To provide day to day support for staff, helping teams feel listened to, supported, and confident in their roles.
  • Libby, Marketing and Community Engagement Officer
To raise awareness of Avanti’s services, share clear and helpful information through our website and social media, and strengthen our connection with families and local communities.
  • Kirsty, Health and Social Care Trainer
To deliver high quality training that helps carers feel confident, skilled, and supported from their first day and throughout their career.

Looking ahead to the new year, we are excited to welcome:

  • Frankie, Head of Care and Quality
To lead quality, compliance, and governance across Avanti, ensuring our services continue to meet high standards, and support ongoing improvement towards an ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating.
  • Hayley, Care Quality Manager for Ripley
To provide regular client check ins, support carers in the community, and ensure care continues to adapt to individual needs.

Each of these roles reflects our commitment to investing in people and building a service that continues to grow with care, purpose and integrity.

Alongside welcoming new team members, we also took important steps to recognise and reward the commitment of our carers. This year, we increased our carers’ pay from £12.10 to £12.82 per hour, a total increase of six percent. This change reflects our belief that carers deserve to feel valued for the skill, responsibility and compassion they bring to their roles. Investing in our people is central to delivering high quality care, and we remain committed to continuing this focus as we grow.

Holding ourselves to the highest standards

In October, we carried out a full mock CQC inspection across our service. This was a proactive step designed to challenge ourselves, review our systems and strengthen the care we deliver every day.

The inspection gave our teams time to reflect on practice, recognise what is working well and identify areas where we can continue to improve. It was not about passing a test, but about learning together and raising standards across the service.

While we are proud of the quality of care we provide, we are also ambitious. Our sights are firmly set on achieving an Outstanding rating, and this work forms part of our ongoing commitment to excellence for both clients and carers. We are incredibly proud of how openly and positively our teams engaged with the process and the dedication they showed to continuous improvement.

Listening to our clients and learning from feedback

Client feedback is central to how we shape our service. This year’s client survey provided valuable insight into the experiences of those we support and their families.

The results highlighted many strengths, including kindness, dignity, communication, and reliability. They also helped us understand where we can continue to grow and refine what we do. Every piece of feedback is taken seriously and helps guide meaningful improvements across the service.

Sharing stories through our relaunched blog

This year also marked the relaunch of the Avanti Homecare blog. What began as a refresh quickly became an important space for sharing advice, insight and community focused content.

Throughout the year, we have explored topics including homecare guidance for families, wellbeing, mental health, ageing, community connection, and seasonal support. The blog allows us to speak openly about care and to offer practical, thoughtful content for clients, families, and professionals alike.

If you have not yet explored the blog, we would love you to take a look and revisit some of the conversations shared this year.

Standing up for care across Derbyshire

Beyond Avanti, our Chief Executive Officer, Lis, has continued her work with the Derbyshire Homecare Association throughout the year. In this role, she represents homecare providers across the county and works alongside partners to support greater recognition and understanding of the sector.

This work focuses on highlighting the vital role homecare plays within the wider health and social care system, and on advocating for sustainable funding and long term investment. It reflects Avanti’s commitment not only to the people we care for, but to the future of homecare across our communities.

Welcoming new clients into the Avanti family

This year, we were also privileged to welcome many new clients into Avanti Homecare. Each new relationship brings its own story, routines and preferences, and we never take for granted the trust families place in us. Supporting people through new chapters, whether following hospital discharge, changing needs or a desire for extra reassurance at home, has been a meaningful part of our year. We are grateful to every client and family who chose Avanti in 2025 and allowed us to become part of their daily lives.

Looking ahead

As we move into the year ahead, we do so with gratitude and purpose. We remain committed to supporting people to live well at home, investing in our teams and continuing to listen, learn and improve.

From all of us at Avanti Homecare, thank you for being part of our 2025. We look forward to everything the year ahead will bring!

A huge thank you from all the team at
